I love the illustrations of Åke Lewerth. Until now this Swedish illustrator has been unknown to me. But a find at a Red Cross charity shop changed that. In the 50s he illustrated, amongs other things, music books for schools. I wished I had these illustrations to accompany my music lessons, but I was 30 years too late! To me these pictures typify the optimism of the 50s, something that we will never see again, I think. Which is your favourite? Enjoy!
