Birds and spring sale are invading the shop! I love Christmas, and then Easter comes around and I seem to love it even more. Maybe I just love celebrating...I have filled the shop with lots of Spring and Easter items. At the same time I am spring cleaning and offer 50 % off more than 50 items. Visit my SALE section for fabulous bargains! Welcome!

Tomorrow is auction day, yay! S yesterday I went to see what there would be for sale. Lots of lovely stuff. I especially liked some of the pewter jewelry and some of the prints of the original works of Swedish artist Dardel. What do you think? I love the muted colors and the atmosphere. But since I love retro things too, I found a lovely lamp designed by P. O Ström (do not know the manufacturer) and this orange Asian tea set. Hope you're having a good Saturday.

I love the illustrations of Åke Lewerth. Until now this Swedish illustrator has been unknown to me. But a find at a Red Cross charity shop changed that. In the 50s he illustrated, amongs other things, music books for schools. I wished I had these illustrations to accompany my music lessons, but I was 30 years too late! To me these pictures typify the optimism of the 50s, something that we will never see again, I think. Which is your favourite? Enjoy!

Hope you're having a lovely Saturday. I've been busy with the garage sale, lots of fun, lots of people and lots of things sold (and bought!). We and our neighbours are getting our storage spaces cleared out for the upcoming renovation of our flats, so we are keeping shop tomorrow as well. And although these are times to stop making and stop hoarding I can never resist buying fabrics and making things...Here are some cushion covers which I made a little while ago. One has found its way into the shop, the other are waiting to go there, I think. They say a lot about my taste. On the one hand I love soft linen, whites and beige. On the other I can never resist a bit of retro fun. What is your favourite style? My Etsy shop has been updated today, and more stuff is coming in. :)

Friday always give me a warm, happy feeling. So, I am updating my Scandivintage Etsy shop with things that have that feeling too! Last weekend I came across a 70s children's book, which was falling apart, but of course I did what I could to save these fantastic book pages! These will come into the shop later today. Today i am preparing for a garage sale that we're having this weekend with some neighbours. Then I am having a glas of Martini, followed by homemade pizza. What are you up to this weekend?
Have a lovely weekend. And look into the shop for fresh things all weekend:
