Today we are celebrating the Swedish national holiday. How? Well, I am going to flea markets here there and eveywhere! Probably not what one had in mind for a proper celebration for what is considered to be the election of the first king of Sweden, Gustav Vasa. Have a lovely Sweden Day - please feel free to browse the Etsy shop for Sweden Day discounts. :)

My dream home is on the market! Every day I take a walk in the forest, to clear my head and put things into perspective. And every day I pass this wonderful cottage. It's on the market for as little as 1,5 million Swedish crowns. It's got a wonderful view of the lake, a little guest cabin and its own place for a little boat. Well, I'll let you judge for yourselves...More pictures here. Have you got a dream house - perhaps you already live there? :)

Good Monday! This Kay Bojesen inspired kids breakfast set is so sweet, don't you think? They are issued by Rosendahl, who also produces the traditional wooden designs - monkeys, elephants, rabbits and Danish soldiers. Now you can have them all on a plate! It reminds me of something I read about the H55 (groundbreaking interior design exhibition in Sweden in 1955). It did not only set the trends with ceramics and furniture for decades to come but also housed a giant Kay Bojesen monkey, where the visiting grown ups could leave their kids to play while they were admiring the designs that would define a new Scandinavian life style. Would have loved to play there!! Love these "new" Bojesen birds too. Designed in the 50s, these have never before been produced, until now. Say hello to songbirds Ruth, Pop, Otto, Kay, Peter and Sunshine.

Have a playful day!
